Acer has launched its latest gaming lineup under the Predator series, featuring four new models of different sizes. One of the models, the Predator Triton 17 X, is claimed to be the “most powerful gaming laptop to date”. It has a thickness of less than 25.4mm and features a CNC-milled unibody chassis, micro-etched RGB logo, stainless steel speaker grilles, and diamond cut surfaces. The laptop can be configured with an Intel Core i9-13900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU, up to 64GB of RAM in DDR5-5600 configuration, and a 4TB SSD array in RAID 0 configuration. It has a 17-inch 16:10 250Hz mini-LED display that boasts up to 1000 nits in brightness and full DCI-P3 coverage. The cooling department has a new triple-fan cooling layout coupled with vapor chamber and a liquid metal treatment for better heat conductivity.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 has a 16-inch display and features laser-etched “encrypted codes” on its lid that contain a secret message. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-13700HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB DDR5-4800, and a 2TB SSD array in RAID 0 for its maximum configuration. The AeroBlade fans feature an “all-metal” design that helps push the heat away from the CPU with liquid metal pre-applied. Display options include both 16:10 QHD+ 165Hz and FHD+ 165Hz with 100% sRGB coverage.
The Predator Triton 14 is a lightweight sub-20mm chassis with a Core i7-13700H (with liquid metal pre-applied) and the option of RTX 4070 or RTX 4050 laptop GPU. The 16:10 QHD+ 250Hz mini-LED display is DisplayHDR 600 certified and covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut. This laptop has a soldered LPDDR5-6000 RAM with up to 32GB available and a single M.2 SSD slot.
The special model, Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition, features a Core i9-13900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (with MUX switch) with 32GB of DDR5-5600 to come along with it. The 3D display utilizes eye-tracking, stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time scene rendering to generate in-game scenes in 3D form. Over 70 titles support this feature, with different levels of 3D support, including “3D+” and “3D Ultra”. Acer says more titles will come down the line through the TrueGame app.
While local availability information is not yet known, some models are already available in certain regions such as China, while most models are expected to roll out starting next month in EMEA and NA regions.
